    Casa Américo was established by the hands of Américo Seabra, father, who had the dream of producing wine in the land where he was born, Vila Nova de Tazém. The project was followed up by the hands of its children who recovered the property of the XVIII century and built a new wine cellar.

    Casa Américo now has 100ha of vineyards, with the oldest being over 100 years old. Planted with the noble grape varieties of the Dão region, they are located on poor granite terrain and are planted between 500 and 600m altitude. The sub-region where they are located, Serra da Estrela, Portugal's highest mountain, is one of Dão's most important terroirs and produces noble wines with a unique freshness and elegance.
